In David Lean’s great wartime movie ‘Bridge over the river Kwai’ the British prisoners of war are set to work building a bridge for the Japanese, Colonel Nichols (Alec Guinness) becomes obsessed with using the construction of the bridge as a means by which his men’s discipline can be held together and, more importantly, to prove to the Japanese that the British army are capable of building a better bridge than they. Nichols’ monomania makes his men’s lives more miserable than the Japanese ever did, but eventually the bridge is finished and Nichols stands proudly gazing upon it, adoring it, it’s surely the best bridge in all of Asia, and the British army built it.
Nichols finally understands his monumental folly when he notices allied soldiers desperately trying to destroy his bridge and worse, the chunting of a Japanese train carrying thousands of troops and tonnes of armaments and supplies. Nichols became so blinded by his own ego and chauvinism that he forgot his bridge was a huge benefit to his enemy’s war effort, before dying, taking his bridge with him, the heartbroken Nichols gasps ”What have I done?”.
Similarly, Polly Toynbee wrote an article in The Guardian recently which she called:
Polly then treats us to a nostalgic tour of her 60’s youth, it’s all there, the drugs, the music, Vietnam, the general feeling of being alive and ‘making changes’ and ‘breaking down barriers’. It’s a lengthy article and Polly doesn’t go into great detail on what the answer is to her own question, it would be too raw, too painful, but she does offer this up:
”…out of all this revolution against “the system” came a “me” individualism that grew into neoliberalism. Early hippy ideals of silicon valley soon morphed into each-for-yourself, pay no taxes, screw all governments. Anti-establishment “freedom” has many dark sides and the Beatles had it right: “We all want to change the world / But when you talk about destruction / Don’t you know that you can count me out”.”
Polly’s assumption is that the hippy-led ‘Cultural Revolution’ of the 60’s was in its inception legitimate, that the ideals and dreams of the Star-Children were born out of themselves. The problem is ‘The System’ or to be more accurate, the Money Power, had recognized decades before that hyper individualism and a reduction of societal moral codes were highly desirable from the perspective of extracting the most profit from a given population.
In the first half of the 20th century, the Jewish nephew of Sigmund Freud, Edward Bernays, was employed by multinationals and big business to carry out a series of experiments on the American population with the aim of increasing their consumption and therefore the profit of big business.
One of Bernays first assignments was to encourage more women to smoke cigarettes for Lucky Strike, at that time, 30’s America, it was socially taboo for women to smoke and so a large market was not being tapped into. Bernays encouraged women to smoke by targeted advertising which made the women seem ‘liberated’ and the cigarette would be promoted as a phallic symbol of their new power, the Freudian slant revealing itself.
However, the fact remained that the wider society still frowned upon women smoking, or to be more specific, a society dominated by men frowned upon women smoking.
The ‘smoking women’ episode is illustrative of how a society with conservative, traditional values is actually a hindrance from the perspective of big money, skillful advertizing propaganda was all well and good, but it could only do so much when the moral codes of the society worked against maximum profit extraction.
Capitalism now ran into a similar problem to Marxists 50 years before, simply put, a life of settled moral ethics, Christian virtue, Patriarchy and family values was standing in the way of the utterly materialistic future planned for the West, whether that’s via Marxism or Capitalism, the problem was the same and they settled on the same solution, what would become known as ‘Cultural Marxism’.
The work of the Frankfurt School Jews had not gone unnoticed by the money power and indeed, it was funded by the Rockefeller Institute. A brief and accurate summary of the Frankfurt School is encapsulated in this meme:
1. The creation of racism offences.
2. Continual change to create confusion
3. The teaching of sex and homosexuality to children
4. The undermining of schools’ and teachers’ authority
5. Huge immigration to destroy identity.
6. The promotion of excessive drinking
7. Emptying of churches
8. An unreliable legal system with bias against victims of crime
9. Creating dependency on the state or state benefits
10. Control and dumbing down of media
11. Encouraging the breakdown of the family
Strip away the ‘Boobs out for Peace’ and some good guitar riffs and this is pretty much the essence of the 60’s Counter Culture, America’s immigration laws were overturned in 65 so even the racial side of it is on point. Polly Toynbee has spent her entire life advocating these positions while simultaneously wondering why High Finance goes from strength to strength. Having smashed the sacred tenets of identity and what holds it together in the name of ‘equality’ they ask why the individual does not become a star-child wandering around in a far-out acid trip.
The ‘Anti-System’ hippies were the creation of the system, the bastard spawn of the money power, ‘Free Love’ and having flowers in their hair on the way to California resulted in the commodification of humanity, as California became Mexifornia, Apple and Google created the apps which would express the individuality of the new mass man.

At least Polly Toynbee can enjoy moments of self reflection in her Tuscan villa, enjoying the peace and calm, reading poetry and sipping Chianti. Hillary Clinton is two months younger than Polly Toynbee, both are 69 years old, both have spent a lifetime as leftist ‘progressives’, but The System isn’t done with Hillary yet….
It’s easy to forget now, but this election cycle was supposed to be about Hillary becoming the first female president of America, last time we had Obama this time a woman would be breaking down the barriers, perhaps next time a Mexican. Mentored by Saul Alinsky, the Jewish Marxist, a true child of the 60’s cultural revolution, Hillary’s lifetime in feminism would be rounded off nicely with the highest office on earth. She would face a wet blanket of a Republican place-man and badger him with accusations of misogyny and sexism, Hillary would be the victim battling the machine once again.
The dazzling success of Donald Trump radically changed the priorities of the merchants and liberal classes, instead of facing another gallant loser being washed away by the progressive tide, they discover that The System itself is under sustained attack. Hillary Clinton is fighting the wrong war, but The System didn’t have time to change its plans so they’re stuck with her. When Donald Trump is making speeches railing against Globalization and calling the media ‘scum’, such PC niceties as shoehorning the first woman into the White House are swiftly thrown out. Hillary is protector of the status-quo, she’s ‘conservative’.
The body of a 69 year old woman is simply not built to take the stresses and strains of running for president, but the stakes are too high, the Globalist class cannot afford for her not to run and if that means scraping her off the pavement and dumping her in the back of a minibus to be pumped full of diazepam, then so be it. Hillary’s corruption is now absolute, she’s literally willing to die for The System, she is feeding herself in her old age to the Talmudic beast which created her long ago, if she can only hold onto life long enough to stop Trump entering the White House, then, then, she has their permission to die.
Long ago Hillary Clinton would’ve smoked weed and gazed upwards into the sky, dreaming of a better world, equality, brotherhood of man and peace. Now, when muscular men wearing earpieces hoist her up like a sack of potatoes, does she ever look again upwards and, like Colonel Nichols, ask ”What have I done?”……
